Suddenly a beach had appeared. A 100-metre-long stretch of sand, grass and stone, which wound its way between the building site and parking area, opera house and pier.Operabukten ( the Opera Bay) had suddenly been given a new, visible life by bathers and idlers. The area became popular fast in the summer of 2021. In the summer of 2022, I began photographing the newly emerging beach life in the middle of Oslo city - the people who populate it and who make use of this small piece of artificial nature.
